Sandra Blomén Maschinsky
Sandra primarily works with digital art, watercolor, and acrylic painting, but she also occasionally uses charcoal, pastels, and graphite to overcome creative blocks. Her art is inspired by everyday life, where she especially loves to portray confident, happy women and non-binary figures. Sandra is particularly drawn to the challenges and possibilities of working in a square format and plays with composition by letting a foot or limb extend beyond the edge of the paper, as a way to suggest stepping outside the boundaries of society.
Hope to contribute to a more open and inclusive space
Recently, Sandra has discovered her passion for working on a large scale, but she also finds great joy in creating smaller digital works on her drawing tablet. Her art, which radiates joy, security, and complexity, is created to promote conversation, create calm, and bring a cheeky smile to the spaces it fills. Through her works, she hopes to evoke emotions and contribute to creating a more open and inclusive space.
